This book was inspired by eyewitness accounts of shark attacks in the rivers and lakes of the Midwest. Though no solid evidence has been put forth and the possibility very minuscule, nevertheless it is still scientifically possible and attainable for a shark to reach the Great Lakes through its vast river systems.
